Healthy Adults Benefits Association is dedicated to a philosophy of excellence in providing affordable access to high quality health care services, information and referral services and educating the public on matters that promote healthy communities and improve the quality of life."

Since 2000, HealthyAdults Benefits Association (HABA), a California 501(c)(3), non-proft public benefit corporation, has been concerned with the health needs of the working uninsured and under represented communities. These populations lack access to affordable health insurance and as such, often goes without proper care or delay in seeking or receiving treatment until certain medical conditions worsen

HABA Attempts to educate these people on the need for quality care through participation in health fairs and urging medical providers to provide free initial examinations and tests. HABA also sponsors an affordable health insurance plan known as " Healthy Adults& trade " . The plan is available on an individual basis or through the work site if the employer elects to sponsor it. There is little , or no expense to the employer for doing so. HABA also assists families in qualifying for " Health Families" , an inexpensive California State Plan for children, or " Healthy Kids" , an endowment funded program for children offered by " L.A. Care" . Education as to sickness or disease prevention is an integral part of the HABA mission. If a person belongs to " Healthy Adults& trade " , he or she will receive initial and subsequent physical exams, as well as any additional tests that are indicated during these examinations. These services are provided by HABA's " exclusive" network of contracted physicians and hospitals.

" Wellness" education is also an important part of HABA's mission. Weight control, female disorders, and diabetes are specifically addressed. HABA is governed by a Board of Directors whose members have either roots in the under represented communities or great interest in serving these communities. The Board members also have backgrounds in finance, law, insurance and communications.

To assure that it's mission is accomplished successfully, HABA has engaged a professional management company to help it fulfill its responsibilities. The management company, TriStar Insurance Group, Inc. is staffed with experienced people in the disciplines of healthcare, communications, marketing and insurance. Any surplus funds developed by HABA will be devoted entirely to scholarships for deserving students.
